Referrals from school educators, general practitioners and other medical specialists including psychiatrists and pediatricians are welcomed. We respect and appreciate their knowledge and expertise and aim to maintain a collaborative relationship to ensure better outcomes for our clients.
Fees And Cancellation Policy
The costs of services will be provided at the time of making your appointment with Embrace Wellness Consultancy. As our appointments are valuable, if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please do this with a maximum of 48 hours notice to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. This will also enable us to provide the appointment to other clients in need.
Rebates: Medicare
Medicare offers rebates for individuals who are referred by a general practitioner, psychiatrist or paediatrician under a mental health care plan.
For psychology services, you may be able to receive a rebate for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year (January-December). The first step is to make an appointment with your medical practitioner and explain your health concerns. You will then need to bring your letter of referral to your first counselling appointment. After 6 sessions, you will need to make another appointment to see your referring practitioner, to evaluate whether an additional four sessions are required.
Rebates: Private Health Insurance
Most private health insurers offer rebates on services such as psychology, and will vary based on your level of cover. You will not be able to claim the service fee at the time of the appointment and will need to contact your health fund provider for more information.
Please note that you are unable to claim a rebate through Medicare and your health insurer for the same consultation.
Cogmed working memory training, assessments and reports are not considered to be a medical intervention and therefore are not covered under Medicare or health insurance.
